Job Description:This position involves direct interaction with senior brokers, retail clients, landlords, and the rest of the NAI Robert Lynn’s team in this unique experience.  This internship will greatly benefit the individual if they value the opportunity to learn the commercial real estate industry from the ground up.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Job shadow senior brokers
  • Oversee leasing brochure development with marketing department
  • Draft Letters of Intent and Commission Agreements
  • Coordinate checklists with various departments
  • Carry out market research, assist with presentations, and conduct preliminary financial analysis
  • Attend senior broker meetings and observe negotiations for learning experiences
  • Provide support to the brokerage team and learn from senior brokers in developing retail leasing opportunities for the company

Hours: 

  • Part-time (approx. 15-20 hours per week)
  • Flexible hours

Job Title:  Market Director

Industry:  Commercial Real Estate.  Leasing & Sales.  Focus on Retail & Restaurant.

Required Experience:  This is an entry-level position; however, a candidate with experience will be on a faster track to a successful career.

Job Description:  A Market Director’s primary focus is on representing shopping center owners (landlords) and secondarily retail tenants (retailers & restaurants) in the Dallas / Fort Worth metro area. Acquisition of new business is a critical expectation of the job over and above simply retaining and expanding an existing book of business. When representing landlords, the Market Director executes action plans to fill the vacancies with qualified retailers and negotiates on behalf of the landlord.  When representing tenants, the Market Director identifies real estate sites for new locations and/or relocations and negotiates on behalf of the tenant.  For example, our company represents Subway, Anytime Fitness, Wingstop, T-Mobile, and many other retail themed tenants. Qualities of successful Market Directors include:  energetic, reliable, eager to learn, hardworking, independent, and intelligent.

Training Program:  Each new hire starts with our approx. 4-6 month* Training Program (and needs to have or will obtain a Texas Real Estate Salesperson License), providing an in-depth understanding of the foundation of retail real estate, setting up a game plan to proactively build a book of business, and giving structure / organizational tips to the keys to building a career in this industry.

*new hires with experience can have a shorter training program.

Compensation:  This position is commission only; however, Market Directors are guaranteed a $2,500 draw against commissions each month.  Average annual 1099 income has been:

Year 1

$30,000+

Year 2

$40,000+

Year 3

$60,000+ and includes automatic $20,000 cash bonus at Month 30 = 80,000+

Year 4

$80,000+ and includes automatic $20,000 cash bonus at Month 48 = 100,000+

Year 5+

A minimum of $100,000
